WELCOME to the first edition of Eden Valley Messenger - dedicated to the people of the Eden Valley in Cumbria. From school events to cheque presentations, agricultural shows to breaking news, we cover the towns of Kirkby Stephen, Appleby, Penrith and all surrounding villages and hamlets.
A new edition is uploaded every Wednesday, with news, features, sport, photos and video clips, and we also provide a breaking news service throughout the week. In addition to the online news service, we will also be working with the local charity Talking Messenger to bring the week's news from this part of rural Cumbria to those who are blind or partically sighted.
Your Eden Valley Messenger can help you keep in touch with family and friends where ever they are in the world - you can forward pages from our site, ask them to log onto www.edenvalleymessenger.com or you can print off pages for your family scrapbook.
