In the old Reading Room children could make their Christingles and local school children took their families to see their work in an art exhibition in the Sunday School room to the rear of the Chapel.
Crosby Ravensworth Food Alliance set up their farmers' market opposite the Memorial Hall and many families took the free bus service provided by Cumbria Classic Coaches to Kirkby Stephen East Station to see Santa in his grotto.
The Victorian celebration ended with a Christmas carol sing-a-long in the Memorial Hall.
