PONY CLUB OPEN DRESSAGE

CUMBERLAND Farmers Hunt (South) Branch of the Pony Club Junior Committee hosted an Open Dressage Competition at Newton Rigg Equestrian Centre, University of Cumbria.

Proceeds from the event held on Sunday, November 29 will go to CFHS area team training.

A spokesperson for the branch said: “On a very wet and cold day in November, Members of Cumberland Farmers’ Hunt (South) Branch of the Pony Club held an Open Dressage competition.

“The branch is grateful to everyone; competitors, judges and helpers, who braved the weather to make the day a success.  The Dengie Novice Qualifier was hotly contested, with Lucy Langley on Red October pipping Sophie Dodds on Never Say Never II by only one point, to take the only qualifying place.  The Dengie Open Qualifier was won by Rosanna Martlew on Washington.  Another similar event will be held in the next Easter holidays.”
