APPLEBY 'S BEST NETBALL RESULT

Weeks of hard training paid off for Appleby's netball players, when the girls travelled to Sedbergh to qualify for the Nationals.

Appleby Grammar Schools played Kirkby Stephen Grammar School Sports College first and after a poor start the girls came fighting back and won 9-5. T

he next challenge was Chetwynde who they had never beaten before, but this was all to change with Appleby winning 12-4.

Appleby at this stage in the tournament had already qualified for the next round but still had to play Sedbergh, it was a closely fought game with it being 5 all at half time, however Sedbergh pulled away to win 10-7 in the end.
